Today was Sunday, our second full day of vacation, but our first full day in Palm Springs. We arrived yesterday evening after a full day of driving, picking up Danny in LA and then visiting with mom in Riverside where we helped out with a few household things and a few digital tasks. Saturday was a pretty successful day except that well left the drill charger in Riverside.
We had lunch in Riverside and made it to Palm Springs in time to go for a swim and settle in and even make a late evening journey to the Ace Hotel for a drink by the pool. We walked over there to get the last of our steps.
Today we headed over to the Desert X Hub after a delicious lunch of smash burgers at Heyday. We picked up a few souvenirs and quickly departed for the nearest artworks that weren’t obscured by the ongoing sand storm just to the north of the city. It was a good day, but I’ll have to do a better recap tomorrow as I’m falling asleep writing this today. Here are a few photos…
Of course we rounded out the outside time with ice cream and later, Mario Kart!
